Will Animated survive? Maybe Animated isn't dead yet! His mode in the show was cool, hopefully he'll get a deluxe class, because he'd be horribly out of scale.

Frank Welker As Soundwave In Revenge Of The Fallen?

Michael Bay stated this on his site, "I think I'm going to pursue Frank on Soundwave". According to Bay, Soundwave might be played by Frank Welker in the upcomming movie. Welker has voiced many original G1 Transformers, such as Megatron, Soundwave, Rumble, Frenzy, ratbat, Ravage, Laserbeak, Mirage, season 3 Galvatron etc... It is left up to the induvidual to speculate if this is true or misinformation.
OMG! Soundwave NEEDS to be voiced by Frank Welker! This would be awesome! Soundwave sounded his best performed by Frank Welker, and Soundwave's voice is a huge part of the character. I'm sure he'll sound more alienesque, but perhaps his voice will be somewhat recognizable as G1! Since Frank can't voice Megatron, this would be a perfect role for him in the movie. It would be one of the bigest fan services ever!

Transformers Animated: Mainframe Animation Model

On Tfwiki, Derrick J. Wyatt has posted an image of Mainframe who is set to appear in Transwarped. The character is based on the original actionmaster of the same name and according to Wyatt, still won't transform. His wiki page can be found here.

This guy reminds me a lot of TFA Perceptor in design, they both have shoulder pads, and the arms are even posed the same. I like the design of this guy, I just wish his head was a bit more colourful like his actionmaster incarnation. We definetly will not be getting a toy of this guy, unless Hasbro remakes actionmasters.

Botcon Landshark Revealed

Botcon.com has revealed pictures of the upcomming Landshark figure who will be part of the Botcon Box Set. He's a repaint of Energon Landmine. More pictures can be viewed here.

Here's his motto: "Dude... Flak totally stole my motto!"

Here's his bio:

Landshark doesn't know where he got his name from and he doesn't really care. Some bots tend to confuse it with Landmine, but once Landshark pulls his fist from their abdomen they don't seem to get it wrong anymore. Always the practical jokester and seen by his peers as a wise guy, he often makes light of even the most dramatic situations.

I think the repaint is okay. I liked the figure as Landmine a lot better, though I could never get his fists out for robot mode. His character seems funny. Transformers seem to have fun with his identity, his motto being stolen by Flak, and people confusing him for Landmine (Gee, I wonder why? LOL. Not only in name, but in mold aswell). With a name like Landshark, you would think would be repainted from Energon Sharkticon. I like Leozack and Skyquake better than this guy.

Let's see if I can name these things. Image 1: Mainframe and Ultra Magnus (maybe a flashback?), Megatron freed from the stasis cuffs plus Starscream's head, Cliffjumper reporting to Longarm Prime (maybe he'll talk (: ), Autobot high council room?, Blurr vs. Shockwave, Cyclonus (looks like he stepped out of G1 into animated! AWESOME) and Oil Slick (Why is Oil Slick coloured Black? hmmmm, and his face looks more skull-like)

25th Anniversary Target Exclusive Titaniums Revealed

Actoys has revealed pictures of upcomming Target exclusives for the 25th anniversary line. They are another wave of Titaniums! These include Hot Zone (Repaint of Titanium RID Optimus Prime), War Within Optimus Prime (Redeco) and Thrust (Repaint of Titanium Starscream). More pictures can be viewed here.

The only Titanium I have is The Fallen. I don't like Titaniums. I won't be picking these up, though it's nice to see Hot Zone again.

BotCon Skyquake Jet Mode Revealed

Cobra Zartan has given us a new look at the upcoming Botcon toy of Skyquake, this is a jet mode image, and not a robot one like we saw before from Tf08.



This image shows the toys colors. Skyquake is a repaint of Energon Starscream. All those attending Botcon should look forward to this!

TAC's Opinion: I think this is a pretty nice repaint of the mold, not the nicest, though. The colors are interesting and unique. Again a nice Botcon, but pales in comparison to TFcon's Powered Commander.

Hmmm, I for one do not find that hotshot appealing at all. And after witnessing what they did to universe Ironhide...I'm going to wait for the henkie for ratchet.. So much better..Stupid hasbro.

This art's fantastic! Being an artist myself, I can really appreciate it! Metroplex's cover is filled with him, Sixshot, and what looks to be Throttlebots. Cliffjumper's picture's interesting. I don't recognize the decepticons, and I have no idea of who the humans are (they're drawn very well, and have a very "animeesque" style to them. I wish I had a comic shop near me to buy Transformers Comics.

Amazon Japan Product Listings!

Amazon Japan has listed three new products, two for Revenge of The Fallen, and one for Alternity.

Revenge of The Fallen sees two new figures to the range, Deluxe Class Chromia (presumably on of the Arcee bikes and Voyager class Desert Tracker Ratchet. Both the items are set for a June 27th release.

Also listed is Alternity Super Black Convoy, known to the Western civilisation as Nemesis Prime. Amazon Japan have provided a photo shopped image of the Vibrant Red Convoy repaint of the mold to give us a taster for what the final product might look like:

Nemesis is due out June.

OK, so Desert Tracker Ratchet, if it's in the movie, I'll probably get it, but if it's not, then I'll pass, along with Nemesis Prime. I presume Chromia is the blue Arcee bike, and that maybe we might be seeing a new Firestar and Moonracer in there...

Wheelie has a complex transformation
For a deluxe, cool configuration!
No gimmick shown in the vid
Makes me angry plus livid.
Wheelie has visible head syndrome, that's clear
But it's a cool toy, there's no reason to fear!

Not my best poem, especially when you have to deal with words like "transformation".

Revenge of The Fallen Optimus Prime Review

Peaugh (not Mike) has provided us with a detailed HD review of Revenge of The Fallen Optimus Prime. The figure has a complex transformation and has an "I am Optimus Prime" sound and light gimmick.


WOW! I love this Prime! It's the most movie accurate figure and is much, much better than Movie 1 Optimus (Movie 1 Optimus has a better vehicle I think, in terms of colour). It's complex, and quite surprising like ROTF Starscream. I will be sure to pick this guy up, he's AWESOME! He even has movie accuracy in terms of having swords, the swords themselves look like the ones in the movie aswell.

Next Botcon '09 Figure Revealed: Scourge

This is his bio:

Scourge fears no Autobot or Decepticon. While loyal to the Decepticon cause, there is no one he will not defy if he feels there is a better way to bring destruction upon the Autobots. Alongside Cyclonus, Scourge and his Huntsmen will not be stopped from searching out and destroying any Autobot that may stand in the way of the Decepticon Empire!

Talk about anti-climatic! Last year's figures were a lot better. About the only one I like this year so far, is Sky Quake and Leozack. This mold doesn't suit Scourge, though I do like the blue used on him, but the red is too much contrast. It doesn't even appear to have the benefit of the Sideways mold with an insignia swapping gimmick. The head is interesting, though a bit flat or plump for Scourge. I don't think this is botcon standards, it's hardly mainstream release standards. Though I wouldn't turn down the figure if it were given to me or was a regular deluxe price. That's another thing. As a main character in the set, Scourge should have been made from a Voyager mold, not a deluxe. If the other toys are this standard, I won't feel sorry for not going to Botcon. And I don't believe the money should be payed for these figures either, unless the next toys we see are awesome.

Transformers Animated Wave 5 Released in Canadian Retail!

According to sightings posted on cybertron.ca, animated wave 5 has been spotted in Canada, and is accordingly released. This wave includes Blurr, Swindle and Blazing Lockdown.

YAY! Good news for me! Though now that I've just found wave 3 litterally the other day, I doubt I'll see these guys for at least a good 1-2 months.
